ABOUT
The managing member of Harkaway Commercial is Harry Harkaway. Harry has worked in commercial real estate for his entire career. He started in property management with JMB Realty of Chicago, Illinois, at the time the largest property owner in the country. While with JMB, he worked in various asset classes in Chicago, Minneapolis, and Syracuse, New York. Later, he acted as Area Leasing Manager in Washington, D.C., where he directed leasing transactions for over one million square feet of properties. Harry returned to Syracuse as a partner with the Bell Group, where he served as a Tenant Representative assisting clients in lease negotiations, site selection, and commercial sales and acquisitions. Harry was recruited and transferred to Seattle, Washington joining the Northwest’s largest commercial real estate firm, Kidder Mathews & Segner, where he worked with numerous high-tech companies. Returning to Syracuse, Harry joined the Pioneer Companies as a Senior Vice President, working with the highly respected company for over 12 years, directing leasing transactions, and supervising a 4.2 million square foot portfolio consisting of 38 office and industrial buildings. He later joined the firm of CBD Brokerage providing services for numerous third-party clients. Today, Harry serves as a principal of his namesake company, Harkaway Commercial. He has been published in numerous real estate publications. Harry has a Bachelor of Science in Economics, and a Masters of Business Administration. He attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
